Discussion: Helsinki - development or demolition rage?
Karhupuisto Film Festival will organize a discussion event on Tuesday, September 9th at 4 pm at IPI Kulmakuppila (Porthaninkatu 13):
Helsinki - development or demolition rage?
Inspired by the film Onnenpeli (1965), which will be screened at the festival, the discussion will focus on the demolition wave in Helsinki in the 1960s, its ideological background, and today's new demolition boom.
We also ask urban planning professionals and visitors what kind of Helsinki we want to build. What have we already lost and what can we still save? On whose terms will the Helsinki of tomorrow be created?
