A year ago, on a warm evening in Karhupuisto, we admired how Jesse and Céline met on a train, wandered the streets of Vienna for a day, and finally promised to meet again in six months.
After the film Before Sunrise (1995), Jesse and Céline return to Karhupuisto in the second film of the Before trilogy, Before Sunset (2004).
In the film, nine years have passed since that magical romantic night in Vienna. Jesse and Céline meet again, this time in Paris: Jesse is a writer, Céline an activist. Much has changed – the carefree nature of their twenties has given way to the responsibilities and pain of the world in their thirties, but the duo's magical connection remains. They only have until sunset in Paris before Jesse has to return home to the United States. Is that enough time for a new opportunity?
