This new documentary, which became a festival hit in the US and grossed a million dollars at the box office, is the opening film of the Karhupuisto Film Festival. At the turn of the millennium, a group of East Coast artists grew frustrated with how commercial spaces were taking over cities. They decided to secretly build an apartment in a shopping mall, where they lived from 2003-2007. Directed by Jeremy Workman and produced by Jesse Eisenberg, the documentary is full of good-natured anarchy and early millennium nostalgia. The Washington Post described the film as "unexpectedly inspirational". Jimmy Fallon joined the praise: "it’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen.”
