Isabel is a young violinist who still lives with her parents and brother in New York. She earns money by gigging with her friends at weddings, funerals, and even dates. When Isabel's cellist ex-boyfriend tips her off about an open violinist position in his orchestra, Isabel decides to go for the job, even though she still has feelings for her ex.
Isabel Hagen, the director, screenwriter, and lead actress of On a String, is a popular stand-up comedian and a violinist who studied at The Juilliard School. Hagen's years of experience as a musician in New York have inspired this delightfully funny and hilariously awkward film. The actors are, of course, real musicians, and Hagen's brother also plays her brother in the film.
On a String won the award for Best Screenplay at the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival, founded by Robert De Niro.
Only 80 tickets will be sold for the brunch screening. The ticket price includes brunch.
