20 years after her debut album, Swedish pop star Veronica Maggio makes her acting and screenwriting debut in the romantic thriller 7 Steps (7 steg), now screening for the first time in Finland.

Elle and Josef end up next to each other on a flight to Paris, and sparks immediately fly. Elle tells Josef about her theory that every relationship follows a seven-step formula. The two get together, and a year later, at the sixth step, they return to Paris. After a night together, however, Elle disappears without a trace. Josef embarks on a journey through cities to find Elle and solve the mystery of her disappearance.

Director Andreas Öhman has previously made music videos for Maggio. The duo co-wrote the film 7 Steps over seven years. The film features Maggio's new song Backspegeln, in addition to her hit Jag kommer.
