Twenty years after releasing her debut album, Swedish pop star Veronica Maggio makes her acting and screenwriting debut in the romantic thriller 7 Steps (7 steg), now screening theatrically in Finland for the first time.

Elle and Josef find themselves seated next to each other on a flight to Paris, and sparks fly immediately. Elle tells Josef about her theory that every romantic relationship follows a seven-step pattern. The two become a couple, and a year later, at the sixth step, they return to Paris. After an evening together, however, Elle disappears without a trace. Josef embarks on a journey across cities to find her and solve the mystery behind her disappearance.

Director Andreas Öhman has previously made music videos for Maggio. The pair spent seven years writing 7 Stepstogether. The film also features Backspegeln, a new song by Maggio, best known for her hit Jag kommer.
